One of the biggest benefits of CEREC is that the crown is fabricated in our office so there is no need to make an impression that is sent to a lab. We use a CEREC 3D CAD/CAM computer program to take digital pictures of the mouth, and design data is sent to a milling machine to create an all-ceramic tooth restoration. The tooth is bonded in place and the doctors will adjust the bite to ensure an optimal fit. This is a relatively painless process and everything is taken care of in a single appointment!
